Why does knowing this secret language matter? Because when the world goes to hell in a handbasket, you’re going to need to know this prepper lingo in order to be able to communicate with others in order to survive.

It’s like a secret code that only preppers know in order to communicate and get through hard times. And, if you’re not in the know, you could be missing out on a major advantage in a crisis.

How To Speak Prepper

In order to effectively speak prepper, you’re going to have to understand the basic terms and acronyms that many preppers are going to be using out in the field. Now keep in mind that the list below is not a complete and comprehensive list, but it’s a great start.

SHTF: S*** Hits The Fan (or Stuff Hits The Fan). Refers to a major crisis.

TEOTWAWKI: The End Of The World As We Know It

DLP: Defense of Life & Property

Genset/Genny: Slang for “generator.” We’ve got a few great ones below:
